Different render systems have different preparation, reinforcement, thickness, colour and maintenance requirements. Ask which system is proposed, how details around openings will be handled and what access is included.

Exterior work depends on suitable conditions and correct curing. Discuss scheduling, protection and maintenance with the installer so the completed surface performs as intended.
Read a rendering quotation line by line
Check whether the price covers removing unsound material, substrate repairs, beads, mesh where specified, base coats, finish, access and protection around openings. The finish colour and texture should be written down, not left to a verbal discussion.
